30 Bristol Bay Schooner
Dulcinea is a converted Bristol Bay Sailing Gillnetter that was built in 1930 and used in the salmon fishery in Alaska for years before being converted to the gorgeous Schooner that she is today. Her Hull is Red and Yellow Cedar with White Oak Frames, she’s Fastened with Galvanized Steel (New 1997) and her Keel is Concrete with Iron Pegs. Between 1991 and 1997 Dulcinea got a new Bottom, new Frames and Stem, new Shaftlog, new Sails (Sounds Sails 1997), new Mast, Boom and Gaffs, new Blocks and a new Duitez 28HP Diesel Engine.
Dulcinea has been sailed often by the current owner who has taken her to Alaska, Vancouver Island and she was a regular at the Wooden Boat Festival and Victoria Wooden Boat Festival for years. The current owner also chartered her between 1997-2006. She’s a sweet well laid out vessel that has been pristinely maintained.
