37 Tayana 37
Farrell O’Gara is a gorgeous example of a Bob Perry designed Tayana 37 cruising sailboat. The current owners have enhanced her beauty and functionality with countless hours of concentrated work and attention that today has her shining and shipshape inside and out. Tayana 37’s are built to cruise, she’s got a modified full keel, cutter rig, hard top for dodger with solar panels, modern electronics with AIS and iPad interface, LED lighting, salt-water wash down hose on foredeck, a Flemming windvane and only 420 hours on the Yanmar 37hp diesel engine. The new Port Townsend Sails fully battened main is loose footed with 3 reef points and lazy jacks. The new Port Townsend Sails jib is a 110% on a Pro-furl furler.
The current owners have cruised extensively on their previous boat and have been equipping Farrell O’Gara to head south during their 10 years of ownership. Tayana 37’s are extremely sea-worthy, with a few of your own personal touches this boat would be ready to head north to Alaska, head to Mexico, the South Pacific, or explore the local area and beyond in absolute comfort. These are solid, very seaworthy and comfortable boats that sail beautifully and can handle a breeze (or a blow, if you find yourself out in one). Tayana’s are made to go to sea.
The current owners are continuing to work on their Tayana until it sells; varnishing, making a new mattress for the v-berth and reinstalling the headliner down below (which was down for varnishing).
