A challenge was presented and Team EP simply cut it to shreds. At the finish they were about 175 miles ahead of the second place Hobie 33 Por Favor who is now in a dogfight with another Corsair F-28 Team MOB Mentality. The bad news is that these two probably have another 24 -36 hours of beating into 20-knots + of cold and wet NW breeze. In these conditions the Hobie probably has a bit of an advantage and will be able hold the trimaran off. The question is will 35 miles be enough of a lead for Por Favor and will Team MM simply run out of race course.

The real congrats go out to Team EP who has now set the standard for this race and oh boy is that bar ever high. Excellent planning, superb boat prep and above all else, a totally outstanding crew that had sailed together before, exhibited remarkable endurance, outstanding seamanship, and displayed a true mastery of the race, its highly variable conditions, and all of the challenges that were thrown at them.

Neither of the trimarans referred to are Corsairs. They are both custom built Farrier designs. MOB is an F85SR, not an F28
