Looking like it was just launched yesterday, this 2022 Maritimo M64 beauty was created for maximum guest entertainment with premium, modernist interiors that feature walnut veneers, Karndean flooring, and carpeting. The Duchess comes with three cabins, a galley that is tailor-made for gourmet cooking, and an especially large flybridge that provides panoramic viewing.

The aft cockpit features a Euro transom with gently curved, forward-facing, upholstered bench seating, teak flooring, and lazarette access. The hydraulic swim platform also includes a parking area for a Williams SportJet 395 tender. With glass bi-fold doors separating the cockpit from the salon, the galley can be opened entirely to let in fresh air.  A large galley island with a Corian countertop provides a location for casual socializing during meal prep. Several Miele appliances, including a domestic-sized refrigerator/freezer, a four-burner cooktop, dishwasher, and convection/microwave oven.

With the helm located up on the flybridge, the entire forward part of the salon is dedicated to entertainment, and made even larger by the generous, nearly 19’ beam. An L-shaped settee and fold-out dinette table sits forward to port under the slanted windows that provide excellent views of the spacious foredeck sunpad area. A leather sofa and two ottomans face opposite, creating a large social gathering space. A full wet bar, lined with varnished timber and stocked with an ice maker, includes room for bottle and glass storage.

An interior floating staircase to the port side of the galley leads to the carpeted flybridge that can be fully enclosed or open to the rear deck, depending on the weather. The ergonomic dash at the helm includes two separate captain’s chairs, twin Garmin 22” screens, GPS Map 8612, an AIS 800 bundle with GA38 antenna, and a Fantom 54 open array radar. Other controls include Twin Disc EJS BP bow and stern thrusters and an Express Position System (EPS) station.

The partially covered flybridge deck, cantilevered over the cockpit, is lined with U-shaped bench seating with ample backrest cushioning along the upper rail. The space includes an entertainment center, a wet bar, a large dinette area with a teak table, and a wide, vinyl-upholstered sofa to starboard, aft of helm. The hardtop also includes an electric sunroof. Aft of the flybridge bench seating are six rocket-launcher rod holders along the rail. The bench seats can also be angled upwards to form two small sunpads.

Staterooms below feature a full-beam owner’s suite with a king-sized island berth, hull windows and opening portholes, a day lounge, and an en suite head and shower. The forward cabin also has an island berth and access to the guest head and shower that’s shared with the VIP cabin that has two convertible twin berths.

In her two years of use, Duchess has had a few upgrades, such as 40” TVs in the master cabin and salon, an Apollo entertainment system with Bose speakers, a soft furnishings package, a stainless-steel cockpit barbecue, and a teak cockpit table. The twin Caterpillar C12.9 1,000-hp engines were also upgraded, with twin disc gears and Nibral five-bladed propellers.
