Seattle Yacht Club Grand Prix Invitational Regatta, October 25th, 26th, and 27th. 40 sailboats and 203 participants held 3 days of racing. This was the first regatta in the Pacific Northwest for the Big Boats racing the IRC handicap. The regatta featured wind ranges from 0 knots on Friday, 10 knots on Saturday, and 28 knots on Sunday. Saturday had 4 races featuring a leeward gate and extremely tight competition. Sunday featured a medium distance and short distance race in rough conditions. The awards dinner party at SYC had 220 people in attendance to wrap up the regatta and a good time by all. – Phil Calvert
