New Haven will be one of the boats racing in the new IRC class.

Update: The SI’s are available here and the most current scratch sheet is here

Corinthian Yacht Club’s traditional Blakely Rocks Race kicks off the Center Sound Series on Saturday, with a new twist. A bona fide IRC class will make its debut. Sailing instructions are due to be up soon and there’s a scratch sheet here.

Northwest Yachting Magazine Associate Publisher (and longtime racer) Bruce Hedrick will be putting together a weather brief and posting it on these pages sometime Friday. Check this site before other Center Sound Races on March 8 and 22.

From the CYC Center Sound page:

Corinthian Yacht Club of Seattle welcomes you to the 2014 Center Sound Series. A combination of mid distance races around central Puget Sound. This year each race includes PHRF, IRC, and casual classes. The club will be open the Friday evening before race day for socializing including an educational tactics and weather discussion

On Fridays, the bar and kitchen will open at 6pm. Food will be available for $5. The  chalk talks will begin 7pm.

The bar and kitchen will also be open Saturday after racing.
