Port of Everett Appoints New District Seat

by Matilda Henry

The Port of Everett Commission appointed retired Boeing supply chain manager Bruce Fingarson to fill its vacant District 1 seat. He was sworn in on November 7, 2017. The office became vacant on August 29, when Troy McClelland resigned due to a job relocation in Massachusetts.

Bruce Fingarson“We were fortunate to have a great group of outstanding candidates,” Port Commissioner Glen Bachman said in a press release. “We look forward to having Commissioner Fingarson join the Port team.”

Fingarson is a graduate of Washington State University’s Business Administration program and spent 36 years working at Boeing’s Everett factory in supply management. He has roots in the area that go back to his grandparents, who settled in Everett in the 1920s. While he was at Boeing, he was part of the team that worked to get a direct port of call for the 777 airplane program from Japan.

We wish the Port of Everett continued success in the future. For more information, feel free to contact Lisa Lefeber, Chief of Policy and Communications, at 425-388-0617, or email lisam@portofeverett.com.
