A Poster Day for CYC Dinghy Racing at CYC-Seattle

by Jan Anderson

Good Golly, Miss Molly – what a wonderful weekend for sailing! BIG breeze, BIG seas, and BIG fun! Apparently it’s so: 2015 is The Year of Breeze. No thunderstorms, zero hail, no one arrested yet, only breakneck performance all around the race course – what a blast! Enjoy these photos – we enjoyed “gathering” them!

Conditions were in the mid to upper teens from the south for the first couple of races on Saturday, with the latter races seeing 20+ knots with some powerful gusts thrown in before the wind direction doing a 180-degree shift late in the day. On Saturday winds were a modest 6-12. The Hobie 16  fleet put in a welcome appearance to join the Optis, 505s, J/24s, Snipes, Stars and of course the ubiquitous Lasers and Laser Radials.
