The Tulip Regatta was a blast!

A 50 knot gust registered Saturday morning and set the tone for the weekend. The Anacortes YC held us at the dock an hour till it got into the low 30’s/upper 20’s and sent us out.  There were three PHRF classes, a 505 class and an SC27 class.  There was much carnage in the SC27 class with Saltheart Foamfollower winning the slap down award.

In the PHRF fleet it was “San Juan rolls” all around for the 24’s and 28.  The 505’s were rippin’.  3 races in under 2 hours before they sent us in worried about fatigue with winds still gusting over 30.

We had a great time on our Moore 24, More Uff Da.  She is always was happy with the wind.

The RC got off four races Saturday in mid #1 conditions. It rained in the morning then sun came out in the afternoon.

What a time in Anacortes!  Wind, fun and Sun (after the rain…) – a well run regatta.
