2019 Riviera 395 SUV

Handsomely outfitted with modern luxuries and easy to handle at the helm, this Riviera 395 SUV available from Emerald Pacific Yachts performs like a dream.

This Riviera 395 SUV is a stellar example of the finest in Australian yacht design, with easy handling, modern luxuries, and surprising versatility. Moored in freshwater since it was built in 2019, Cassis has been carefully maintained, possessing an easy flow from cockpit to galley to salon.

The main deck level is handsomely fitted with high gloss cherrywood interiors. The salon features a lower helm with two upgraded 12-inch Garmin 7612 displays with integrated GPS and autopilot features, as well as trim assist, Garmin AIS, and open-array radar. A raised lounge is located opposite, providing views forward for guests. A lift-up, 32-inch TV is positioned forward of the lounge, making it viewable from every part of the salon and cockpit. Electric sunroof hatches are set on both sides of the SUV hardtop, above the helm and forward lounge.

A tinted-glass bulkhead separates the salon and cockpit, which provides ample space for entertaining and comfortable seating for up to eight adults. Aft of the composite teak cockpit, a swim platform has room for all kinds of water sports. A barbecue unit is located across the transom, facing forward and accessed from the swim platform, so the chef can converse with guests. To enjoy the Seattle summers, the 395 SUV includes a molded inset in the foredeck with room for a sunlounge pod.

The aft galley on the starboard side is equipped with an electric cooktop, sink, and food preparation benchtop. Underneath the bench is a convection microwave oven and a deep-drawer refrigerator. Opposite the galley, a raised dining area features L-shape seating with sweeping views through wrap-around windows.

Belowdecks, there are sleeping quarters for up to five adults. The forward master stateroom includes a queen-size, walk-around bed, a wardrobe, and overhead lockers. With three single berths, the midships cabin boasts a wardrobe at the entry and the twin beds on the starboard side can be converted with an infill into a large double bed. The generous-sized head, with two-way access to both cabins, includes a vanity, a Vacuflush toilet, and a separate shower stall. Large hull windows and portholes on both sides provide plenty of natural light and ventilation.

Powered by twin Volvo Penta D6-IPS 500 inboard engines, Cassis puts out a combined total of 740 horses. The cruising speed is 22 knots, but top speeds of 30 knots can be achieved, with a range of about 300 nautical miles. Even those new to skippering can feel in control behind the helm with two Volvo joystick controls. The IPS offers an excellent power-to-weight ratio, enhanced torque, and improved fuel efficiency, while the underwater exhausts muffle engine noise.
