Pacific Northwest sailor Craig Horsfield is in 7th in the Mini Transat Race from Sada, Spain to Pointe-a-Pitre, Guadeloupe. Here’s a slick PR video the Mini Transat organizers did before the start with Horsfield talking about his take on the event.
Horsfield is one of the northernmost boats. Conventional knowledge suggests getting south will ensure better tradewinds sooner, but that has not yet materialized. Time will tell whose choice was correct.
