When the windsurfing and kiteboarding speed demons get together at Luderitz, Namibia, records fall. That was again the case this year with 11 new national records and one world record in the books. As you can see, recorded runs are made on a straight and shallow man-made canal. And while some may question what exactly these records mean away from “real” waves and depth, nobody denies the amazing skill these sailors have regularly pressing, and sometimes exceeding, 50 knots.
