Captain Linda Lewis

Skilled mariners and speakers will energize you for boating of all types. One of the more popular items on the agenda is Inside Passage Dreaming – What’s Holding You Back?

“For most boaters, the top holding-back issues are time, money, and concerns about the storied “Gates”:the big-water passages and BC’s tidal narrows. Linda will lay out some time frames for trips and explore the ways you can cruise the Inside Passage even if you don’t own a boat, including what skills you need to do this passage and how to build them. She will provide local-knowledge resources for the Inside Passage and important tips to help you get through “the Gates”. There will be information about the weather, finding food, water and fuel, as well as dealing with boat repairs. Linda’s goal is to help you believe it is possible to finish the dreaming and start the doing. Capt. Linda Lewis, Ph.D., holds a USCG 100 Ton Master’s license, and has been teaching navigation for 12 years. She has logged 25,000 miles cruising the Inside Passage. Linda teaches boat handling on board your boat (docking, anchoring, radar etc). See www.privateboatinginstruction.com”
