This “wristwatch” is really a tactical navigation device that collaborates with your compass to make it easier to understand and anticipate wind changes and trends during regatta sailing. You will be better prepared for the next puff because the TackingMaster helps you know when to tack or jibe.
First, you reset the wind dial to 0 percent wind shift. Next you untighten the lock ring and adjust it to the preferred tension followed by setting the wind direction on the compass ring. Set the windward mark bearing on the mark ring, tighten the lock ring, and you’re ready to tack. It comes with a Velcro wrist strap and a belt pouch.
